Soniei (pronounced sO.nE.A) was raised in Clare, a small Acadian-French community in Nova Scotia, Canada.
She started taking drawing and painting lessons at the age of 6 and always dreamed of one day becoming a contemporary artist. She didn’t always have time to paint while growing up because she started traveling as a dancer at the age of 12. By the age of 16, she began touring as a guitarist/singer as well. Soon after, she was completing two degrees (BA – Advanced Major in Psychology, and Programmer Analyst / Internet Solution Developer).
